A Comforting Guide to Soup Season in Kelowna
It’s SOUP season!!
There is nothing better than a warm bowl of soup on a chilly Fall day. One of the best things about soup is that there are so many different variations. There is cream soup, broth soup, chilli, pho, ramen, laksa, etc… the list goes on and on! Given Kelowna’s great food scene, it’s no surprise that there is an abundance of places to get different types of soup.
Here are Some of the Best Places to get your Soup on in Kelowna
- Mad Mango offers asian fusion soups and other dishes
- Pearson’s European Deli is an Italian sandwich and soup shop
- Wood Fire Bakery makes delicious German comfort food
- Little Hobo is a soup and sandwich shop
- Mount Royal Bagel Factory is known for their home style bagels, but they have good soups and chilli as well
- Most chain restaurants, such as Earls or Moxies, have a soup of the day that they rotate every daily, weekly or monthly. These restaurants offer everything from tomato soup to butternut squash soup. I love going to a restaurant and trying their soup of the day.
Some of my favourite types of soups:
- Pho is a famous Vietnamese noodle soup. My go to’s are Pho Soc Trang, Bamboo Chopsticks and Basil Leaf.
- Laska is a spicy noodle soup-like dish with thick rice noodles. Check out my Laska blog post for suggestions.
