4 types of social media posts that SELL
We all use Instagram and other social media platforms as a vehicle to drive traffic to our business whether that’s to get more sales or to create brand awareness. But in order to do that, you need to be posting the RIGHT kind of posts. Something that provides VALUE to your audience. Not sure what type of posts work? Let me help!
I am going to use the social media scheduling app called ‘Later‘ as an example.
Here are 4 types of social media posts that sell:
1. Find a solution to a problem/challenge/pain point, and what your offer is to fix that for your audience
I.e. The problem my audience is experiencing is that they are busy and don’t have time to get their posts up on Instagram daily. The solution? Introducing them to Later so that they can schedule a week of content posts in one day so they don’t have to worry about it throughout the week and can focus on other aspects of their business.
2. Sharing your own struggle or story and how you overcame it to demonstrate how your audience can too
I.e. I would share how I struggled with managing my posting schedule and how using Later helped me to post consistently.
3. Share one of your client/customer’s inspiring stories/reviews/testimonials outlining how you helped them and how you can help others too
I.e. I would share a testimonial of a client who I introduced to Later and have a call-to-action at the end of the post.
4. Dismantle a myth, share the fact or truth, and your service to help with it
I.e. I would break the myth that Later “isn’t a reliable social media scheduler” when it actually is and is very user-friendly.
Other tips to keep in mind when posting on social media is to stay consistent, stay true to your authentic self, use your insights and stick to your content pillars.
