Sept 26th – @freshfacebyjenn

Today I am featuring @freshfacebyjenn. Jenn and I have been following each other on Instagram for a while. My dream is to get my make-up done by her one day…she does an amazing job! What I love about her work is that her clients still look like themselves after she’s applied the make-up. Nothing is worse than seeing somebody look completely different after make-up is applied. She is so talented at highlighting a client’s natural beauty. Jenn is also from Vancouver so we’re practically neighbors!

My name is Jennifer Hamman and my business is Fresh Face By Jenn. You can visit my website, my Instagram, and my LinkedIn. I follow @stuffwithsvet because I love all of Jenna’s Kelowna recommendations. She is super likeable, personable, and engaging on her Instagram stories. I also love her style and just think she has a gorgeous feed in general.

I am a make-up artist for weddings, photoshoots, and special events. More recently, I have also been working on building a lifestyle/beauty personal brand.

I use Instagram because it’s an amazing platform to build my business. It works as a great online portfolio and makes it easy to connect with other entrepreneurs. It has also allowed me to share other passions of mine such as photography, lifestyle and travel! My favorite Instagram accounts to follow are @stuffwithsvet, @cjdimmock, @roryjamesmakeup, @gracefullyglamblog, and @jillian.harris.

The most important part of my business journey so far has been finding confidence. Although an ongoing journey, being confident has been a struggle my whole life. This is in terms of my self and also in my work. To see happy clients, hear positive feedback, and seeing my Instagram grow has helped pushed me to work harder to keep reaching my dreams and goals.

My 5 year goal with my business is to still be working as a makeup artist. My goal is to keep building my personal brand, to build relationships, and earn brand partnerships and collaborations!

What makes me stand out from other business is that I take pride in my work and give my clients my best. I try hard to make them feel comfortable and be accommodating as possible. In terms of social media, I try to share my life with clients and followers so they can get to know me and my passions. This way, the first time we meet it’s less like meeting a stranger and more like a friend.

There are always going to be setbacks or circumstances that make you feel like giving up at times. To push through bad times, I have learnt from past instances and use them to grow and better myself. I strive to keep positive and confident that I got this! One of my favourite quotes is: “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay it’s not the end.”

Somebody that I think should be featured on the Who’s Out There? SERIES is the Vancouver blogger, @gracefullyglamblog.

Thank you for having me on the Who’s Out There? SERIES!!!

Spread the love
