Self-Care Activities in Kelowna
After a long, dreary winter, it feels good to put a little time back into yourself. With spring starting, it’s a natural reset and a chance to shift your routine and focus a bit more on your body and mind. Luckily, Kelowna has plenty of ways to ease back into that!
Self-Care Activities in Kelowna
Head to the Spa
If you’re looking to unwind, booking a spa day is one of the easiest ways to reset. Kelowna has a mix of options depending on what kind of experience you’re after:
- Cleopatra’s Rituals Spa – A unique experience with a sauna, steam room, and snow room circuit
- The Wellness Spa – A full-service spa with massages, facials, and access to pools and hot tubs
- Namaste Day Spa & Medical Spa – Ideal for facials, laser treatments, and more advanced skincare
- Orah Spa + Lifestyle – A modern, elevated option known for facials and skin-focused treatments
- Sweat Studios – A fitness and recovery space offering infrared sauna and cold plunge experiences
- The Luxe Spa – A Kelowna spa offering head spa treatments, body massages, and relaxing wellness services. Check out my reel here.
If you’re looking for a Facial Specifically
Facials are great for rehydration after the dry winter season. My go-tos are HydraFacial, chemical peels, or microneedling.
- I’ve partnered with Organic Glow Medical Aesthetics in the past and high recommend them! The whole team is very welcoming and professional, and the space is adorable. They offer a wide range of services and treatments to help you look and feel your best. If you’re looking for a new place to try, give them a visit!
- Araya Skin also offers great medical facials! With their result-driven, medical-grade technology, they can treat all skin types safely and effectively.
Get your Nails Done
One of my favourite self-care treats. I tend to switch up where I go every so often, even though I always stick to a classic white polish. A few places I’ve been to and would recommend, plus a couple others worth checking out:
- The Ten Spot – Modern, clean space with a range of nail and foot treatments
- VN Nails – Well‑loved for careful application and consistent results
- UNI Nails & Spa – Clean, welcoming spot with solid reviews and a variety of services
Get a Massage
Who doesn’t love a massage?! They are such a great way to relax both your body and mind.
- Enhanced Healing Registered Massage Therapy – Multiple locations. I have seen multiple RMT’s at Enhanced Healing and have never been impressed at every visit!
- Chang Thai Massage & Spa – Popular Thai massage spot with traditional stretches and acupressure.
- Opal Thai Massage and Spa – Downtown Kelowna offers Thai massage, aroma therapy, and reflexology.
- Embody Massage Therapy + Wellness Center – Personalized massage therapy for relaxation, deep tissue, and wellness-focused treatments.
- Beyond Wrapture Mind & Body Care Day Spa & Retreat – Spa plus massage packages, like massage + facial or body treatments.
Move Your Body: Kelowna Fitness Studios
Taking time to move your body is one of the most effective forms of self-care. Whether it’s a high-energy class or a slower, mindful flow, booking a workout can boost your mood, reduce stress, and help you feel your best.
- STRONG Pilates – Strength-based group training with a motivating atmosphere.
- Lagree Kelowna – Low-impact, high-intensity full-body workouts on the Megaformer.
- Sunny Space Studio – A bright, boutique Pilates studio offering structured reformer classes that blend strength training with intentional movement in a welcoming, energizing space.
- Pranify Yoga Kelowna – Yoga, breathwork, and mindful movement classes.
- Global Fitness Kelowna – Full gym access, plus group fitness options.
Treat yourself to Local Flowers
Flowers are a simple way to brighten your day, add calm to your space, or simply treat yourself. Kelowna has some amazing local spots for fresh blooms, unique bouquets, and floral experiences:
- Honey Blooms – Flower farm and florist with beautiful, unique bouquets.
- Lavender and Lace Floral Farm & Design – Seasonal blooms and flower subscriptions.
- Kelowna Flower Farm – Fresh, locally grown flowers; seasonal offerings.
- Jolies Fleurs Florals – Beautiful, handcrafted bouquets and floral arrangements with a personal, artistic touch.
- Bedford Hill Flower Farm – Flower farm with fresh blooms and subscription services.
Head Outside
Spending time outside is one of my favourite ways to practice self-care. Fresh air and a bit of movement are perfect for clearing your mind and recharging. Kelowna has plenty of fantastic trails nearby. You can see my top 10 hikes around the Okanagan here. I also love visiting the many waterfalls in the area, which you can read more about here.
I also enjoy joining local outdoor groups. I recently joined the run club at Barn Owl Brewery, and it has been a fun way to meet people while getting some fresh air and staying active. There are lots of ways to combine movement, nature, and community into your self-care routine!
Visit a Coffee Shop
Take a moment for yourself. Grab a delicious coffee, dive into a book, jot down some thoughts in your journal, or even just scroll on your phone. We often don’t give ourselves enough downtime, and a cozy coffee shop is the perfect place to recharge.
Some of my favourite spots in Kelowna include:
- Analog – A small, aesthetic, earthy-toned space with great coffee
- Deville – A beautiful modern space that serves unique beverages.
- Sprout – A very spacious space, indoor and outdoor seating, with not only amazing coffee, but also great bread/pastries.
Check out my blog post featuring other Kelowna coffee shops here.
Relax at Home
Run a bath, light a candle with local products and enjoy a glass of wine! Try Marin candles for that luxury feel.
Bath products:
- Check out Okanagan Soaps and Okanagan Lavender and Herb Farm bath products
- Find a variety of low-waste bath products at Fill Kelowna and Chickpeace Refillery
Wine:
- I love Kismet’s Saféd, Cedar Creek + Quails’ Gate Rose, and Summerhill Cipes Brut
There you have it! It’s time to treat yourself and prioritize some self-care. You deserve it, and I hope this post gives you plenty of ideas for a little well-deserved “you” time.
-Jenna xoxo
